President and owner of Kimball Construction Company, Lewis Kimball has spent nearly 40 years honing construction and management skills in order to afford superior results for our clients. Under Lewis’ consistent leadership, the company continues to uphold the core values of integrity and professionalism upon which Kimball Construction was founded.
Lewis is actively involved in daily operations, pricing and consulting on projects regularly and approaching each opportunity with a problem-solving mindset.
One of the biggest challenges contractors face, is in developing cost saving measures for clients while maintaining high-quality and performance standards. This is a specialty that Lewis developed during his years as an estimator and which he vigorously applies to every project.
Lewis has a top to bottom understanding of the construction industry and has been involved in every aspect of planning, managing, and executing projects during his extensive career.
He joined the company in 1975 as a carpenter apprentice. Subsequent roles included project manager, estimator, and vice president.
His experience both in the field and as a construction executive ensures that he views project challenges from a variety of perspectives, most importantly, the end-users’.
Lewis earned his Carpenter’s Journeyman Certificate in 1979, holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Loyola College of Maryland. He has served on committees and foundations for the Building Congress & Exchange, Baltimore Carpenters Apprentice Committee, Carpenters Pension and Annuity Fund, and the Mechanical Contractors Association.
